EPBP launched industry consultation on Design for Circularity for PET bottles
The European PET Bottle Platform (EPBP) is initiating an industry-wide consultation to collect stakeholder feedback on the recently developed Design for Circularity (DfC) guidelines for PET bottles. This consultation marks the next strategic step following the publication of the Circularity Protocol and the Quick Test–AIT.Circularity⁽¹⁾, reaffirming EPBP’s commitment to supporting the PET value chain in its transition toward true circularity.

These standards form the technical backbone for the delegated act the Commission will adopt by 1 January 2028 under the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR – EU 2025/40).
