📢PETCORE EUROPE Thermoforms Conference 2026 - Call for Innovation Papers!

PETCORE EUROPE is pleased to open a Call for Papers on Innovation to improve the thermoforms circularity.

During this physical event, we will dedicate a session showcasing innovative projects from representatives of the PET Thermoforms value chain.

This initiative aims to highlight pioneering solutions accelerating the implementation of PET thermoforms for recycling and recyclability.

🔹 How to Participate:

Interested participants are invited to submit their proposals to maria.trofimova@petcore-europe.org by the 30th of April 2026.

🔹 Suggested Innovation Topics:

  • Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the PET thermoforms value chain.
  • Traceability solutions for recycled content.
  • Quality enhancement and analysis of recycled plastics.
  • Collection system innovations.
  • Advanced recycling processes for PET materials. ​
  • Depolymerization technologies in the PET thermoforms value chain.
  • Any other innovation driving PET thermoforms recycling and recyclability.

🔹 Practical Information:

  • The Call for Innovation Papers is open to all innovators. ​
  • Please submit a summary of max. 10 lines (including contact details, BIO & PIC of the speaker) to support the selection process. ​
  • The selected innovations will be confirmed by 15th of May & invited to present during the PETCORE EUROPE Thermoforms Conference in Valencia. ​

PET (PolyEthylene Terephthalate) is a strong but lightweight form of polyester. It is used to make containers for soft drinks, juices, drinks, water, edible oil, fresh food and dairy as well as household cleaners and other non-food applications. PET bottles and food containers, such as sheets and trays are perfectly recyclable while they help to reduce CO2 emissions and food waste.
