Petcore Europe is growing: Already 15 new members in 2018

50 individual company members and five European associations work together in the European PET value chain association.

Petcore Europe, the Brussels based association representing the entire PET value chain in Europe, welcomes 15 new members in 2018: BASF, Logoplaste, DuPont Teijin Films, MacDermid, CCL Label, Coca-Cola, Danone, Fuji Seal Europe, LSDH, Graham Packaging Europe, Henkel, Fantastic Plastic, Eastman, Evertis and Sealed Air.

With now 50 individual members and five European associations Petcore Europe represents more than ever the complete PET value chain: PET resin manufacturers, packaging designers and manufacturers, equipment manufacturers, label producers, brand owners, EPR schemes, waste management organisations, recyclers, recycling machines manufacturers all work together to make PET circular and the entire industry stronger.

The several new brand owners, packaging and label producers, waste management organisations as well as other highly important players involved in the PET industry give Petcore Europe an even more important voice in Europe", outlines Christian Crépet, Executive Director of Petcore Europe: "The new members are already very active in our working groups where we actively address recycling issues."

PET (PolyEthylene Terephthalate) is a strong but lightweight form of polyester. It is used to make containers for soft drinks, juices, drinks, water, edible oil, fresh food and dairy as well as household cleaners and other non-food applications. PET bottles and food containers, such as sheets and trays are perfectly recyclable while they help to reduce CO2 emissions and food waste.
