High - level speakers including Wolfgang Trunk - Policy Officer at European Commission TBC and Marco Ravazzolo - Confindustria (Industrial Policy and Sustainability - Environment and Energy Policy Senior Adviser) TBC will join us to explain the goals & expectations of the European Commission for the PET trays. 

Petcore Europe Thermoforms WG was launched in June 2015, followed by online workshops on Recycling PET Thermoforms in March 2015 and in December 2021. Seize the moment to register today for our upcoming Thermoforms Physical Event, 14 & 15 June in Bologna, Hotel Savoia.

Thermoforms WG comprises around 50 companies and organisations including key players from industry and waste management. The objective of this event is to promote thermoforms collection & recycling and specifically tray to tray recycling. PET (PolyEthylene Terephthalate) is a strong but lightweight form of polyester. It is used to make containers for soft drinks, juices, drinks, water, edible oil, fresh food and dairy as well as household cleaners and other non-food applications. PET bottles and food containers, such as sheets and trays are perfectly recyclable while they help to reduce CO2 emissions and food waste.
